Griffin-Spalding County Library Hosts 10th Annual Book Bolt 5K

The Griffin-Spalding County Library, in collaboration with FROGSLIB (Friends of the Griffin-Spalding County Library), is thrilled to announce the 10th Annual Book Bolt 5K Run/Walk.

 

This cherished event aims to bolster the library's programs and enhance its collection, including books and audiovisual materials.

 

Scheduled for October 25, 2025, the race welcomes participants of all ages and fitness levels.

 

Whether you're a seasoned runner, a casual walker, or someone pushing a stroller, there's a place for you in this family-friendly gathering.

 

Even if running isn't your forte, volunteers and library enthusiasts are encouraged to join and support the cause.

 

To ensure you receive an event t-shirt, please pre-register by October 10, 2025.

 

On race day November 1st 2025, registration opens at 7:30 AM and concludes at 8:45 AM, with the race kicking off promptly at 9:00 AM.

 

Rain or shine, the event promises a day of fun and community spirit.

 

In recent years, the Griffin-Spalding community has demonstrated a strong commitment to literacy and education.

 

Initiatives like the Read United program have made significant strides, with 76% of participating students improving their reading scores by 50% or more.
